No, I don't mean stick it in a van for a drive through McDonalds and a movie.

I know it isn't worth anything, but I have an old chest of drawers.
I am just curious.

I have had it 20 years, it has done me and the kids at various points.
It has had woodworm before I got it (I treated it, yes, when I got it just in case) it is beaten up, had a few dodgy repairs. The people before stained it badly. (I will sand it down one day).

I think it was made out of bits someone had kicking around at the time.
It has dovetail joints on the drawers, but they are handmade I think.

I quite like the fact it is still going and you can put some stuff in it still.
It functions fine.

Anyway, probably the main pointer for date would be the handles.
Although, I guess they might have come from something else.

They are big plain white porcelain (well, ceramic or something) handles.
These are attached with a wooden threaded bit that goes through the drawer.
(Does that make sense?)

Make sure you have explicit permission before trying to access the contents of the drawers.
