Been looking at things like the Anker Capsule and the Samsung Freestyle but they are a bit pricey. Anyone tried something similar, got one they’d recommend?
what do you actually want to do with it? - the anker has an output of 100 lumens, the Samsung states 500 lumens but reviewers measured it as less than 200. Those outputs are really low - Pretty much any practical, usable projector measures its output in 1000s of lumens.
Ah, ok. Watching films in the garden was the idea.
You'll need more lumens if not completely dark. I picked up a used Epson EB 585wi ultra short throw projector from Ebay. Mine came without a lamp but they were £65 from Epson. Paid about £120 in total. Also bought a tripod so can use it inside and in garden. It has 3300 lumens though.

I'm not sure a mini projector will cut it for outdoor use, not sure the lumens will be high enough. I've used a mini projector in my van and that was spot on (viewsonic M1P which I'm actually selling) and it's been great for that use but its quite a small distance and I only used it in the evenings.
