Anyone getting this yet?

Our HR people said they knew nothing about it - which is odd as it's on the "company" web site:

🙄

And still no C2W either 👿

Wonder what my bosses will think if I claim Mileage Allowance Relief or whatever it is on the shortfall that they haven't paid me - about £24 for April and May when I worked it out.

Even more ironic after the conversation this afternoon:

"How would you feel about travelling to Oxford to do some work?"

"It's a chuffing long way from Nottingham......"

You can always claim back the difference in HMRC rate to what you've been paid as an expense on your tax return.

I only get 25p but at least got a cheque from HMRC last week and an increased tax allowance for this year, all helps

Yep, 45p here if you use your own car for business and don't have a company car or have opted out.

I've never opted in! and am on 17p a mile and have been for the last 4 years!

I do get £5k PA allowance for opting out though.

I do claim the tax relief on the difference though. Just did the submission yesterday and am waiting on Mr Taxman to send me £800 in tax relief for doing just under 12,000 business miles last financial year.

the 45p rate is for use of own car isn't it - those with company cars/allowances will obviously get less

I'm getting it at my place after I asked the question of HR. My work car is currently running at 65mpg ish so it's a nice little earner for me.
