not as fat as the beginning of the month; i've lost a kilo or so in the last 3 weeks. which is nice.
still, overall i'd like to drop another 10kg by the summer.

No, in fact I lost almost half a stone over Christmas as I seem to have picked up some sort of gastric flu-type virus 🙁

I am feeling a bit hefty....but then 6 weeks of eating and drinking anything that moves will do that.

Eating dust in January 8)

yeh 🙁 i'm not able/allowed to run just now, and road riding makes me put weight on (even if it is just muscle) and i'm now 2kgs heavier than i'd like to be when i'm running. Bah! And that's despite training 6 days a week, and riding 100-150miles a week.

Definitely, diet starts on 1/1/11...

Having an inflamed achilles tendon hasn't helped with keeping the weight down, I'd usually do a fair amount of running over xmas 🙁

I weighed my self late on Xmas day and was 11lb over my normal weight.
Bsck to a more reasonable 5lb excess today. Anyone fancy doing 3 laps of Cwm Carn tomorrow?

Yep but what's mysterious is that I don't remember eating it, someone must have applied the fat when sleeping!!

Edinburgh! Set off now, I'll see you in the carpark at about 9.

It's not eating that's the problem...

I just had a flashback of making white russians with double cream. 😳

@ TSY *packs bike and car and lots of coffee to keep me awake* 🙂

@ mogrim, hope your tendon gets better soon. Shame you can't do the race, that sounds nice! I'm really fed up with my tendon issues, they seem to take ages to mend - the two i hurt earlier in the year still aren't 100%. I'm meant to be doing the Paris half marathon in March, bah!

Cheers dgoab, the race is pretty good, 30,000 runners taking to the streets of Madrid, great atmosphere too. Not ideal for setting a PB, but a fun way to end the year.

Next year I'll be there!

Fat? Not me.

But over Xmas I have accumulated a lot of stored energy reserves for the 'Puffer.

Oh, and my clothes have mysteriously shrunk too.

I deliberately got stuck in over Christmas so I'd be as sick as possible of indulgence and be ready to really diet properly in the new year.

Yes, feeling and looking fat here too. Only consolation is I don't own a weighing scale thingy to know how bad the damage is.

Yep, put on about a stone 🙁
Someone actually commented to me last night that they thought I might be 'with child'. I obviously then had to prove otehrwise by drinking 6 pints of lager which didn't really help with the bloated look!

Back on the bikes, back to the gym and starting up sea kayaking soon ( if I can actually fit in the bloody thing)

Yup - too much food & drink, not enough exercise.

The Christmas stockpile of essentials doesn't seem to be depleting too quick either!

Managed to sprain my ankle mid-November, been able to ride to and from work, but nothing more strenuous, also ate way too much as I'm greedy and have bugger all will power. Luckily we binned the scales when we moved so I have no idea how bad the problem is.

Doing the 3 peaks on foot in June though, training kicking in shortly so that should help me drop some weight, also getting a pompino in so I can cycle to work a bit quicker (than on current disaster of a single speed with knobbly tyres and 2 buckled wheels) and drop into the gym in the morning before work.

No resolutions, just plans and a slowly repairing ankle!
