i am simmering my homemade french onion soup with some vintage port and waiting for my dough to rise so i can bake some fresh rolls to go with a steaming bowl of broth.

Made French Onion the other week but used sherry not Port with bug croûtons rubbed with garlic & topped with Gruyère Cheese then melted under the grill, Just had a bacon and Dolcelatte & fig chutney toastie yum!

Just about to start on vege broth, and karalan fish stew with dall for tonight. Oh and the bizarre samosas from ep1 of the new Airy bikers series for tomorrow when we get back from riding.

i can't decide what to make today.
i made a load of chocolate and orange mousse (recipe off bikeradar a bit ago, using silken tofu so it's low fat, high protein and full of vitamins and good stuff) but i need something savoury. i'm a savoury lad.

Just finished making meatballs and then the sugo to go with it for the in-laws arrival at lunch tomorrow. Also made veggie chilli for our tea on Monday. Industrious, me? Who'd a thunk it?

To counter that industry I'm going in shower and hading to the pub for som well-earnd pints...
