I've just applied to be a contestant on The Chase.
Has anybody any experiences of the auditions and actually being on such a show?
Blockbusters - 1988
I was on Fifteen-to-One many moons ago. Auditions were just a normal version of the show but in a hall rather than a studio, all pretty much as you'd expect. On the actual show recordings I felt very tense the first time round, more relaxed/used to it in the later rounds. Was always treated well and looked after by the crew, who (presumably) are used to dealing with the clueless. There's the usual air of unapproachability amongst most of the staff but they were all happy to answer questions or direct you if you asked.
HTH
You Bet, sometime around 94/95. I'll always remember when Jet (from Gladiators) right hand met my gentleman's area...
Stood directly behind the team in 'Pub Quiz' once (Eamon Holmes and Jenny ????) but never a contestant.
2nd reserve for University challenge team – sadly or gladly the team did not suffer two illnesses.

Do you know what your chances are of making it to the auditions?
Be interested to know how many people actually apply to get on these shows.
If Bullseye is anything to go by you need a crap hair cut and be shit at darts.
