[Closed] any web boffins about to explain strange problem with website ?

I have been a freecycle fan for some time and access the site with my laptop running Vista and firefox .

recently I bought my partner a similar machine only she has windows 7 (and firefox)
we both use the same wireless connection but on hers all the freecycle messages are 7 hours behind regarding time of posting.

I have tried other sites including another on yahoo groups and we have no problems .
any idea what is going on and how to fix ?

before you ask the laptop is correctly set up time wise etc not that it should make any difference .
