A mate was off up to the Lakes for a long weekend riding jolly this weekend but can no longer get the accommodation he was looking for. Therefore, I said I will ask the massive and see what we can find.

He's not fussed in which location of the lakes, so long as its not on the west side.

Ideally, it would be walking distance to a town and / or pub.

It must have suitable bike storage and not cost more that £200 for the Fri, Sat, Sun nights accommodation.

Not really looking for a B&B as likes the idea of a cottage type thing.

Does anyone know of anything or have any recommendations?

Many Thanks

you said you didn't want a B&B, but the travelers rest just outside grassmere is good!

Me and the other half were looking for somewhere about this time of year last year and it was recommended to us... and we liked it so much we are going back for a week again this year.

It's close to a pub too, the Kirkstile Inn, which is fantastic!

Try "Stables" in Standish Street, Keswick. You can't get more central. Approx 1 minute to Dog and Gun, 30 secs to KMB. Has a utility room that could be used for storage. Does short breaks at this time of year.

have a search on ebay.

Done Dorset, Somerset, Telford, E Anglia via it, seem to be some in lakes
(*always do value crosscheck in real world)
