Not being a smart arse, but there are webshites out there that show pubs, hotels, b&bs etc that are dog friendly.

Ah ok, fairy Nuff.
I find as a rule Inns (as in pubs with rooms) tend to be more dog friendly whereas B&Bs are generally "no dogs". My tuppence anyway.
