If so have you ever used a sunbed as treatment?
No, but I'm sure the standard sunbeds are just UV-A, which means that you need an additional drug to make it work, and that UV-B is only available via a dermatologist or specialist clinic etc.

I find the sun usually works pretty well, as long as flakes are scrubbed off before exposure, so that the rays reach the skin rather than the flakes.
My dad had it terrible and used a sunlamp which he swore worked.
Not a sufferer myself but a guy at work is and he has sunbed treatments at the hospital after being refered by GP . Starts of as just a couple of seconds and time increases as per session upto around a minute i think . I can get more info tomorrow if required. It seems to work well .
I've had that treatment just wondered if could use a normal sunbed as going to the hospital 3 times a week for a month isn't ideal.
I've had Light treatment as its called, several times over the years, very effective it is too.
I was warned by the skin specialists at the end of the course of treatments not to use normal tanning beds as they use a different band of UVA/UVB light and are very damaging to the skin in the long term.
Pulled this from Wiki
Light therapy for skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema use UVA (315-400 nm wavelength) or UVB (280-315 nm wavelength) light waves. UVA, combined with a drug taken orally, is known as PUVA treatment. Narrow band UVB is the 310 nm wavelength and is given as a light therapy treatment rather than full spectrum UVB.

Get outside and get the real thing while its available (in moderation of course). I had PUVA treatment for a while until they fried me one day.
I've been using Exorex with very good results. You can buy it on line
no, but I do have a vaguely related issue that clears up solely with sun exposure - several doctors have suggested infrequent sunbed use as a solution, but most suggested just getting outside more as a cheaper alternative lol.
I'm 100% for spending more time out in the sun, providing you're not burning, it clears up so many things and we NEED to do it more.
My father & brother suffer badly from it and swear by the 'light treatment'.
I've had all sorts of skin problems during my life. I had UV treatment many years ago but that was at hospital twice a week for many weeks. It did work. I was lucky that I worked less than 10 minutes walk from the outpatients unit at that time so I could go in my lunch hour no problem.
Best of luck.
