Had one recently. Hated it. One I had 25 years ago was hugely better. This one was made of cheese with bad electronics. The engine was great though.

Are you looking for mechanical advice or BMW related chit chat? I work in IT so cannot offer any mechanical advice, but I do own an old-ish BMW which I quite like (320d touring E46).

Edit to add: Actually owning a BMW and working in IT probably means I'm quite shallow so not sure how the chit chat would work out 🙂

E91 320d here.

I do what mechanics I can on it, but its still new enough to be worth keeping some kind of service history going on it.

E36 325i track day car here. It breaks a lot and I am thoroughly inept when it comes to fixing it.

I've never owned one but I did once get to drive the bosses 535 touring and ragged the arse off of it. Does that count?

I tend to see a few about on my commute. So they are quite popular if you are thinking of standing at traffic lights and exposing your toolbox to them

Just been given one in lieu of payment for work, just need to figure out how to spray glue the roof liner back up as it's been left in the sun a while and dropped it.

316 e46

E46 M3 CS and E87 130i LE here.

The M3 is giving me a lot of grief (engine sensors playing up) but as usual BMW warranty is top notch. 130i is a complete hooligan in disguise, love that thing. Sadly the M3 will be traded for a Datsun GTR in the spring.

This is turning into a BMW 'coming out' thread, isn't it?

In which case, I recently got an E91 325D Touring.. which is most agreeable!
