Any one seen any particularly good deals on a sub £400 laptop. Was looking at Dell, always been impressed by them but they only come with a little 4 cell battery and want £60 extra to upgrade to a 6 or 9 cell battery.
Was obviously looking for the best spec I can find, processor, memory wise. Have always prioritised high memory in the past is 3GB enough or should I be looking at 4GB.
How power hungry is Windows 7 never experimented with Vista still running xp at the moment.
Would really like to run Photoshop to edit and play with pictures at a decent speed, am I being unrealistic.
Cheers Ben.

that what you're looking for?
the spec would make it run better than the average laptop on things like photoshop because of its dedicated graphics card.
if your interested i can send you pics etc.

oh and by the way, although you'd probably want to check this with someone who's not trying to sell you a laptop, 3gb is way more than the average user needs, even when gaming or graphics processing (unless were talking cgi video editing sorta thing)

Just finished the build. It's fast, good screen and has all the bits n bobs I wanted (modem etc). There's a cracking deal on an Acer on Ebuyer as well for £399. 4gb RAM, 500gb HDD and 64 bit W7.
^ That acer on ebuyer is also available from John Lewis at the same price, with an extra years warranty.
