A lad I lived with had one, it cost around £250 ish a few years back.
It was great for films, watching Predator on the big screen was ace! 😀 He even used to hook his laptop up to it for youtube and stuff.
Go for it.

And when the bulb goes, cheaper to buy a new one than a replacement bulb
