Hi, hopefully amongst the vast range of professionals on this forum, someone sets up Business Banking accounts on a dialy basis and can help me.
I need to set up a trust account in GBP at a UK institution registered to a foreign (Canadian) company.
I can't go into a branch because I dont live in the UK or have any plans to visit any time soon.
We currently do our business banking with Barclays, but they wont help with the above even though the ownership of the Canadian company matches the existing UK company details and apparently I need to go in for a face to face even though we've 8 years or business banking history with them!
I appreciate money laundering protection, but it just seems a little close minded to me.
