It's growing where I scattered some wild flower seeds last year, it's got nasty spikes and the leaf junctions are full of milky liquid.

Young triffid?

With luck, bees will feed on the flowers and goldfinches on the seed heads.

Feeds insects, rather than feeding on insects. Dried seed heads make nice indoor displays.

Dipsacus fullonium or teasel as said above. Leave tge seed heads on over winter for the birds to eat.

Teasels used to be grown here in't north for use on wool carding machines before the wire version took over.
