There's a chap of this parish named TooTall who I believe had some a while back (but not sure if he still has).
I forgot to mention I have one 😉
I love bassets, but 'dogsat' one for a number of weeks a few years ago, and found it unmanageable. The poor thing may have been abused in the past, but was unbelievably clingy, and would eat ANYTHING. As in, it even managed to open my friend's refrigerator door and consume everything inside - including, in some cases, the containers as well.
In the end, having been returned to the dog shelter 3 times, the animal had to be put down. A genuinely sad story; but one I can't help wonder if it was at least in part due to breed.
