We would like to install a WC in a porch on the front of the house.

Are there any planning issues with a short soil stack on the front of the house?

How does the 'short soil stack' work then ?

Need to save a few critical seconds when you're rushing home 'cause you're busting for a crap eh ?

Although I doubt whether the volatile odours will provide a very welcoming atmosphere for visitors ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

But on the plus side, if someone calls round whilst you're sitting on the bog having a crap, you'll at least be able to chat to them through the letterbox until you've finished 8)

It would work like the existing short soil stack on our current house.

What connected directly to the drains ? Why can't it be connected to your existing stack ? I can't see why that would be a 'planning permission' issue, although mucking about with outside drains might be I guess.

EDIT : have you considered a small bore macerator ? You have to be careful what you flush down them I know, but it might be a much easier solution.

Exitisting stacks are on the side, this would be on the front.
