Now I have a new puter can I just slot in my existing hard drives as slaves so I can still get at all the stuff on there

The new one has a Sata hd
but I think there is also an IDE connector in there
and my drives are ide

are there any problems

Should be fine. Unless you particularly need lots of storage I'd just plug them in, copy the data then take them out again. Another option is to get a usb caddy from ebay, that might give more flexibility.

All done and working fine thanks

It is a whole heap easier doing stuff to computers than 15 years ago .
which is how old my previous one was .
