Subsequent to my mattresses thread cookies and algorithms are obviously aware I must be in the market for new bedding (I'm not)
So for the edification of the giant pulsating brain that is the Singletrackworld Science Combine I present to you... a bedspread that you plug into the mains for no reason

Yep, can't fault the business idea, the seller is definitely going to make money out of idiots.

Perfect for those who wear balance bands and drink juice plus.
Sounds like it could be lightning between the sheets..
I want to be positive about the idea, but the talk of free electrons has triggered a lot of negativity. I just hope that people do not get charged too much for those sheets.
🤣😂 stuff like this is why it is important to teach basic science in schools!
See also anti-vaxers, anti-chemicals, flat earthers and Donald Trump!
That'll put the spark back in a relationship.
I'm surprised I havn't aged better since i spent every night during almost the entire 1970's sleeping in a bed with nylon sheets whilst wearing nylon pyjamas.
There was so much static electricity that every time I moved it was like bloody fireworks going off
I always awake fully charged.

They do, but most people don't listen.
They do, but most people don’t listen.
If they did it would potentially be different?
Anode what you mean perchy

Look! Science!

I can think if a couple of simple modifications that would supply a lot more electrons.
Think of the healing benefit of all those negative charges supplied at a constant 10 amps
That illustration above is missing the enervating consequences of Mr Barefoot getting dogshit between his toes

Sounds risky. Could be positively terminal.
I always awake fully charged.
*something about waking up unexpectedly discharged as a teenage boy*
Could be positively terminal.
Corona discharge ?
Can't you just lick a radiator at bedtime?
"Wassup yoochoobers and flatvaxers check out my popsicle radiator..."
*something about waking up unexpectedly discharged as a teenage boy*
Reminds me of this legendary Viz advert

Something something... Derek Mackay (SNP).
wwaswas
Watt are you suggesting sir,I have always had the capacity to be a resitor of such ampacity.
Can’t you just lick a radiator at bedtime?
Or piss on an electric fence
Don't knock it until you've tried it:
Gets some positive, obviously 100% genuine, reviews on Amazon...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Organic-Rowland-Earthing-Sheet-Grounded/dp/B07WXQZXGR
"I would 100% recommend this earthing sheet to everyone, especially children who are bombarded by wifi radiation and smart tv's, phones, gadgets."
"I read that Earthing is able to calm the autonomic nervous system which helps your body relax."
It even has a one-prong plug, earth only, so bypasses the safety features of the UK socket.
so bypasses the safety features of the UK socket.
I'm in no hurry to point that out to anyone that would buy one of these. 🙂

Sleep so well you may never wake up, they should use that in the marketing
a one-prong plug
oh aye?
I don't wish to piss on all the stw armchair scientists and their views but Earthing is currently being researched as a genuine means to reduce chronic inflammation/wound healing/immunology and for my particular concern - reducing inflammatory immune response to lesson the effects with multiple sclerosis.
Whether or not the grounding pad up there ^ works is another matter though
Not entirely convinced by that paper. I starts with a lot of unsubstantiated things, then after the actual experiment they do (which doesn't appear to be able to discount the placebo effect as it's not blind i.e. the subjects know they have the earthing device on, although I'm not a medical researcher) they say this:
Our working hypothesis features this scenario: mobile electrons from the Earth enter the body and act as natural antioxidants
Electrons don't move unless there's a potential difference, so you'd have to have or be generating a positive charge for this to work. This is quite difficult to maintain if you do stuff like walk around and touch things. Ask anyone whose hair is standing up after holding a Van de Graaf generator how long their hair stays standing up.
If they did it would potentially be different
This deserves more positive recognition.
Can you not just bolt one of these into the bed?
Perchy on top form, as always 👍👍
