The Volv V50 we sold in Nov 2019 when we bought the current car. Done 4k miles since we bought it thanks to lockdown, would have been better keeping the volvo

Celica VVTi 2005, I still miss it when I see one, which is rare. If I had had somewhere to store it I would probably still have it. Love Toyota cars, wish I could afford a GT86.

Me - none, they all went for a reason. Only one I really had any attachment to was an Octavia estate I kept for 10 yrs. Had it's own eco-system in the back by the time it went to the scrapyard!

VFR750 - so much better than the Triumph Sprint 1050 that replaced it, but the cycle parts were getting a bit tired from winter commuting.
Brodie Holeshot Ti - beautiful, should have stuck some longer forks on it or put on the wall.

I'm closer to 50 than 40 and I'm on my 4th car. All the other 3 went to the scrapyard with north of 150,000 miles on the clock (250,000 on my Type-R last year).

I effing *hate* spending money on cars. I used to like driving a lot, but not so much now.

But they're a colossal waste of money. My 3 cars added up probably cost me about 20 grand to purchase (a few years old, low mileage) over 25 years of my driving life and they got serviced irregularly.

It absolutely boggles my mind that self-worth is so wrapped up with car ownership in Blighty. People could have saved early-retirement levels of money by simply not spending money on cars. Never mind the environmental destruction inherent in the industry (most of the bad is in the making of the car - so buying more cars compounds the problems - you're much better off running a well-working car into the ground).

I miss the T5 on a near daily basis, but I cannot put into words how much I do not miss the shitty PoS that was the Rover.

I'd likely have the Golf back if pushed, the T5 in a heartbeat, but the Passat and Bandit are better for me now.

Porsche Cayman S. Got it used for a great price, most fun I ever had in a car without silly speed, just so nicely balanced and flattered an average driver.

Unfortunately not much choice about getting rid after I got rear ended by a 'gentleman' in an Audi

If I still had my S1 RS Turbo in the condition it was in when I owned it, it would probably be worth £25k now, looking at the price they seem to go for now. Possibly more as it was the only factory painted Mercury grey one.

I loved my Nova GTE as well, not worth anything but would love to have a go in it again!

I've only ever sold 3 cars and they were unremarkable a-b cars.

I've had loads of company vans, can't remember them all, had 3 in a year once.
The only one that stood out was the Astravan Sportive, was hilarious, no idea what the power should have been but it just wanted to go everywhere at warp speed, made more turbo noises than my 951. I'd quite like that back, we got a speeding ticket through from the next owner not long after it was sold. Not a surprise.

Actually I quite liked a Hiace I had around 2005, wouldnt want it back though.

The Elise may well have changed to a different private plate. As long as they aren't crashed SI Elise are still going strong 25yrs after launch. Well maybe after numerous head gasket failures. Ask on somewhere like SELOC and someone might know of R10 TOP

Had a few motorbikes but if I could have kept one it would have been the Yamaha RD350LC YPVS N2.  Much better than the RD350LC it replaced that got nicked.

I never regretted selling a vehicle. Always replaced them with something better. I did regret wrapping my old Datsun 510 round a fencepost, but I got over that.

I had a 1973 Reliant Scimitar. 3 litre Ford V6, auto box 16mpg, fibreglass body.

It was wonderful, a 2-door 4 seater small estate. Every time it rained there were puddles inside. I once was about to give a lift back from work in Leeds to a certain Bob & Jo Thorogood (Bob was Drummer for Joe Cocker for a while) and as she was getting in Jo noticed that the rear seats (they were in individual pods) were about 2" underwater.
