So long as you have the receipt all good.

Have had a, erm, spirited discussion about consumer rights when returning a faulty item some time ago.

60 day returns on all items - as it says on the back of your receipt.

No worries.. 🙂

Returns are easy

What is less easy is the process. Unlike most places where it's straightforward, in Aldi/Lidl you turn up at the checkout with your return. They check the receipt and see it's fine. Then you discover that the checkout staff aren't trusted, as the manager is required for special key to allow them to do the return. They're usually miles away so as ALL the customers in the queue get frustrated with you returning something and taking ages, you wait patiently getting increasingly annoyed as it's such a waste of time.

So they didn't quibble it, but it's slow if the manager isn't standing next to them

When I had to return something to Aldi, I phoned H/O, they gave me a code which I took to the store and received a refund there and then at the checkout.

So maybe try that to prevent any in store shenanigans.
