We have finally had it with our present combi boiler (Keston), now we have heating but only luke warm 'hot' water - looks like a blocked heat exchanger and a sizeable bill ... can anyone recommend a replacement that won't need the engineer to call every two weeks?
Frustrating isn't the word for it ...

stop crying.. call Bg and get them to do a fixed price repair if your skint you can sign up to a service scheme for a year and the fing ll be free!!
Keston are a crap boiler, however a blocked heat exchanger is more to do with the condition of the overall system really. Old rads and no inhibitor? A magnaclean/spirovent type filter will help prevent this sort of thing in future
My combi (baxi) does this regularly. It is just the rubber diaphragm thats knackered again (usually)
