anyone used something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=110437593779&Category=101257&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D1 it looks proper scaly but if it works its half the price of samsung unit.
I got a 4.4Ah unit for an IBM notebook.
It never really worked properly - the computer wasnt able to manage the charge accurately, never knew what the real level was and when it was being charged the charger seemed to get very hot.
It cost a fraction of an original one, but I didnt bother using it much.
I would always buy OEM laptop batteries...but then that might just be me.

well i can see why as i'm normally buy cheap buy twice, but my mate had one for his macbook that was good so thought i'd ask
If I'm being generous, I'd say that you could hit a good, low cost replacement battery. However my experience has been that you'll miss, and get a battery that almost works for a little while.
Buy right and buy once.
