I got a 4.4Ah unit for an IBM notebook.

It never really worked properly - the computer wasnt able to manage the charge accurately, never knew what the real level was and when it was being charged the charger seemed to get very hot.

It cost a fraction of an original one, but I didnt bother using it much.

I would always buy OEM laptop batteries...but then that might just be me.

If I'm being generous, I'd say that you could hit a good, low cost replacement battery. However my experience has been that you'll miss, and get a battery that almost works for a little while.

Buy right and buy once.
