About a year ago some one explained a useful thing that switched some of the adds off on here using a phone menu option. It left green arrows In the ads place which you could click to get the add on.
I've tried turning java script off which gets rid of the adds (some)but not green arrow appears and worse still Google search page doesn't work?
I had to do a factory reset on the phone last week.

I think what you should have done is set the enable plugins option to on demand rather than turn javascript off. Since some adds are flash based you won't see them unless you want to.

Sorted thanks for the advice scholar. I was getting worried all my data allowance would be used on STW adverts!
