Off to see the arctic monkeys tonight but as we are driving back to the NE  I don’t want to be queuing an hour to get out of a car park.

Any tips on where to park for a easy exit?

Dont mind paying and walking to achieve this.

TIA

What time does it finish, could you park at a station further out and get a train?

Rowley Regis has tons of parking but is the west side, so not that practical. There must be others, Sutton? Lichfield even?

I've not (knowingly!) tried when there's a big event on, but if I go to Brindley Place, I park on the street - Great Tindall Street is only five minutes on foot. Not the nicest-looking area but never had a ptoblem leaving the car around there.

Snow Hill station has a big car park that’s not silly priced and is far enough away from the arena that you’ll get out easily. Or street parking on Caroline Street.

Don't leave the wheels on the car.

It was so busy trying to leave we reparked and went for a Chinese.

I Googled places to park when I went see Noel Gallagher and used one of the companies offering different places, paid £10 for a fantastic place. It was about 100 yards from the Arena. Locked secure parking and will definitely use again when I'm back down there.

The car parks are an absolute nightmare to get out of so definitely plan to park somewhere else. Took me over 2 hours to get out before.

Park in the jewellery quarter on street. Free after 6. Don’t park anywhere closer to town than that, Brindley Place etc or any of the car parks you’ll be ages getting out, look at a map first you need to be the quarter side of the dual carriageway, you can get close enough to be a 5 minute walk and avoid all the traffic.

When you come out head out on vyse street and pick the m6 up that way don’t follow the signed route you’ll be out with no bother. Lived next to the arena for 10 years.

Thinking about it, there is a secure car park down there, around the corner from St Paul’s square. More secure than on street in Hockley, but you have to pay.
