Does anybody know if an adapter exists so I can use my track pump to blow up my son's paddling pool and other inflatable toys?

Yes, it's just a small plastic cone shaped adapter that fits into the Schrader valve fitting. Most foot pumps and glove box sized compressors come with them but they don't seem to come that often with track pumps .

Most general purpose pumps I.e 12v tyre inflators will come with these.

An airbed type pump may be quicker as it will move a bigger volume.

It's only the red bit you need, you can probably find it separately if you look

Sports direct have a foot pump for £4. Much faster than a track pump.

If you really want to use the track pump (maybe for exercise) then it's the black bit here

I bought a mains powered electric pump from Lidl a couple of years ago. Saves the 1hr inflation time for most pools!

Other than the electric option, I've used a cut down shaft from a biro (other ball point pens are available) to clamp in a track pump and push into the valve of a paddling pool.

You'll be on an awful long time using a track pump.

Yep there is a big difference between a high pressure low volume pump and a low pressure high volume pump. Just get a dinghy pump and it will be done in 20 strokes.

Use it as an excuse to head down machine mart and get a compressor

This to the power of infinty.

At Mountain Mayhem one year I had the bright idea of using my track pump to pump up my airbed and it took forever. I finally gave up and borrowed one of those battery-powered inflators - something like this
