True/False?
Possible/Impossible?
Sense/Nonsense?
Any "Scientists" here want to opine?
It certainly helps if you're wearing your tin foil hat.
Not sure I'm gonna watch it all, but "scientists have long debated whether light is a particle or a wave" is wrong. We know it's both, we can accept that. It's only common sense that tells you it can't be, and common sense is meaningless in this context.
First 10 mins is VERY light on science though.
I lost interest after 2 minutes of fancy graphics and the misspelling of "applications".
What's it about ?
Okay 3:47 and glaring error No1: Photons don't have magnetic fields. They are electrically neutral particles so are not affected by magnetism in anyway
EDIT Meant photons
What testable predictions does this new model correctly make that the current one doesn't?
There's an old saying in Physics: "if you have something to say, write an equation. If you have nothing to say, write an essay (or make a youtube video)".
Electrons don't have magnetic fields. They are electrically neutral particles so are not affected by magnetism in anyway
Ever seen an old TV?
a CRT TV is an electron ray gun, with the electrons steered using magnetic fields.
Are you maybe thinking of neutrons?
Doh meant photons.
The video claims they have a magnetic field clearly they don't
Well, a photon is (classically) a magnetic and an electrical wave at right angles.
Ninja edit for a typo, I think.
a magnetic and an electrical [s]wave [/s] field at right angles
FTFY.
Yeah, sorry 🙂
As particles they are neutral though.
But they're only particles on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
certainly lots of balls.
yeah was a ninja edit.
Point is photons don't interact with magnetic fields do they?
Anyway the video is bullshit, he spent 10 minutes talking about how cathedrals look like magnetic bowls
Worth watching it until the "demonstrations" start.
They're fun to watch, if nothing else.
Jump to 20 mins to see "Mysterious forces"
