But why would you - you could get a handbuilt custom for less than that?

To be fair this guy really knows what he's talking about, it's got disc brakes and leather.

Why, when you can get a bike that does the same for £200, i'm amazed anyone would be daft enough to spend any more. 😉

But just think....when someone falls off it won't be rude to laugh at them....not because they fell off

......no just because they are a complete knbob spending that sort of money.

The first rule of marketing consumer goods: "If it's not expensive it can't be any good".

If people are happy to pay more than £50 for a watch, why not $11,500 for a basic bike?

Oh, there's a page of those too. This one

costs £26,000.

Dunno if it's as accurate as a digital Casio, though...

They're are over priced and a complete waste of money but they are not "basic" bikes, as in BSO. The flat bar one is actually quite pretty.

Something is only worth what people are prepared to pay for it. They might be ****ing mugs mind.....

It's pretty niche though - does any other company make carbon "comfort" bikes with proper discs (and leather) ?

As above, it looks like they've made a high spec, unique bike rather than just slapped their name and a bit of leather on an off-the-peg frame. I'd rather people with too much money were buying these than mowing down baby robins in million pound supercars!

So there are fools mugs and idiots out there all far more successful financially than most of us on here . What does that make us? 🙂

I like it, It looks very nice indeed. However where would you chain it up? Perhaps you would have a van following you around so you can park it in the van or perhaps a security guard who marks you every where you go.. 😆
I wonder if the big H does leather covered locks and chains? You wouldn't want to spoil the paintwork or scuff the seat, which means it will probably sit in the triple garage gathering dust like an ordinary BSO..
😉

Change speed without moving? Sounds very philosophical.

What lock for an 11 grand bike? I was thinking of leaving it around Fulham Broadway on my way into town.

Jeepers, it seems the way to sell massively overpriced stuff to stupid rich people is to waffle on just like you have no real idea what you are selling.

If it came with Victoria Pendleton sat astride it I'd probably scrape some coin together.
