Any ideas where to get plumbing classes for my 9 year old neighbours daughter? She is keen to start as soon as possible.

That's either a very naive question of you're a very sick person.
Either way, ridiculous! She's a kid, get her a scooter or a scate board.

Despite the errors in the OP it's an interesting point that a career in plumbing is not seen as important as one in coding, despite plumbing arguably being a more fulfilling and financially lucrative one.

I dont think its so much the relative "importance" of a career - it's become quite the fashion to respect the trades and their opportunities - but rather the idea that you might choose to introduce kids to the basics of one and not the other through structured education at a young age.

The ideas of coding (maths, logic, process) are taught and absorbed from a young age, writing script to use them isn't. Similarly, some of the basic skills of plumbing such as motor function, materials handling, planning etc are also picked up along the way, but the technical tools to apply them arent.

However, I can teach Jr basics of plumbing, but I'd be no good with coding.

I was thinking the other day about learning how to program an Arduino or Pi with Jr, both of us learning along the way. The other thread had a link to a Coding Club site with an Pi intro meeting very nearby so I will drop in sometime.
