Andromeda Strain
Logans Run
The Black Hole
Westworld
Soylent Green
The Omega Man
Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Any more?

Planet of the Apes was from 68 I think.

Good call on the others, doh re CEOTTK

Invasion of the Body Snatchers was a remake!

Yeah but Donald Sutherland was great wasn't he 🙂

There was a huge amount of good TV sci-fi, a la Battlestar, Space 1999, The Prisoner, etc

Blake's 7! How ace was that. And Space 1999. Spent many happy hours watching those two.

ST:TMP-sorry, but how boring was that. 20 minutes floating round the Enterprise in dry dock to show how nice it looks. Good storyline (but how many times had it been done in the original series?). At least it kicked the franchise back in to life, for good and bad.

PotA and Beneath... were both 60s I'm pretty sure. I'm sure there must be more I can't think of. Daemon Seed was late 70's I think.

I hang my sci fi cred head in shame as I can't think of any more. Though maybe there weren't many more. I remember the 70s as a time when there was a lot of talk of cinema being dead and the number of new films being nothing like the number we get today. I used to panic as from my early teens I've been a bit of a film going geek (of all sorts).
