I've not been able to log in to the site from home for a few days, on any devices, due to this error. Tried clearing caches etc from stuff I've seen online about resolving it.
Seem to be able to log in on my phone at the office....
Any tips to share?
Turn it off, then on again? 🙂
If you can log on from your phone in the office but not on the same phone at home, that would point a finger at your home network. You can test this fairly readily by switching Wi-Fi off on your phone when at home, seeing if it then works.
First thing I'd try would be rebooting your router.
403 means "your names not down, you're not coming in"
STW are probably using something like WAF which is incorrectly flagging your home IP as hostile and therefore refusing access. Do you get a message at all or does it literally just say "forbidden" ?
You can try turning your router off, leaving it a while and turning it back on, as it might get you a new IP address which is not blacklisted. However, you might find they have blocked your whole ISP in which case you are SOL.
(The problem with this type of block is that if the rule is set too aggressively, it only takes one wally doing something like probing a server for a .env file to block entire IP ranges.)
Just says "forbidden". Did wonder if MrsMC had got me blocked....
I'd a 404 on another forum. Done a full cookies clear out(near 2gb) and after signing into everything 2 forums wouldnt allow me to, just kept getting this 404.
I worked around it using the firefox private browsing tab.
It's not ideal, but it solved the issue and ive no idea still why i got this error.
