Will they be pushing their bread bikes up the hill?

But they hadn't won then, they were still in contention, thought it ws known to be the front runner, hence they started preperations etc...

Good stuff, When will they anounce the routes. I'd love to see the Tour going over some of my local climbs.

More details in January, I imagine including a draft route etc... I'm pretty optimistic for my local big hill...

Of course you know that this is bound to jinx next summer's weather...

Not that you'd be able to tell much difference up there.

Send 'em up to Heptonstall and from Askrigg over to Swaledale.
That'll teach 'em.

No, send em DOWN through Heptonstall, on a wet day, on skinny tyres, we all know everyone watches for the crashes... 😈

I was just miffed at not having seen the advance email from W2Y, I could have broken it like 5 minutes earlier than the OP... life is harsh... #firstworldproblems

Ahh the sound of big wheels rolling through the Yorkshire countryside..

Bet they only stumped up £3.61 for the opportunity to host the TdF.. Nothing like a tightwod Yorkshire Man. 😆

Anyone know if they're going through Harrogate?

and from Askrigg over to Swaledale.

Other way is much harder, starts with 1 in 4 (poss 1 in 3) greasy switchbacks....

The rumour I got when I last interrogated W2Y chappy, was Leeds Harrogate Skipton Keighley [wtf?] and down to Huddersield, which would hopefully mean up through nidderdale, up Greenghow [big hill], 2 min walk from my house!!!

Climbs are not nessercary for good racing, there's no mountains there anyway.
Would much rather see a sprint finish and a breakaway.

Here's hoping the musettes contain a pint of mushy peas and a slice of bread and dripping

i'm guessing they will prevent the 2 old peeps pulling a caravan up a 25% at 3mph on a single track road from slowing up the pellaton.

This is going to be excellent, fabulous riding in That Yarkshire, and the Farms in Harrogate too.. 8)

Assuming they use the routes in the proposal, then they will make for good stages 🙂
Plenty of dales action.

I'm immeasurably excited about this.
The Tour going from my roots and where my cycling began, to my current home.

Why are they using a pic of Derbyshire in the promo? Infact... here....

It's not even a bridleway!!

Would be nice if they used the old 'Leeds Classic' route? Possibly start in Leeds, finish in Sheffield.
