Just been announced on the news and I'm a bit flabbergasted.
How exactly will making £2 *trillion* available to countries so totally and utterly unable to pay back the previous amounts loaned to them help?

It's not designed to help them, it's designed to help the banks.
They will do what they can to help the banks that have caught a cold, the countries can get shafted.
