Can anyone recommend a good 2 day walk in the lakes with a B&B stop in the middle? Pref West lakes, route max 15 miles a day.
Ideally we'd camp but weather in Feb is likely to be iffy so want to have a B&B option 🙂
We walked from Great Langdale to Wasdale head at the weekend. We stayed in the camping pods at the NT trust campsites to save carrying tents. The Wassdale pod had a small heater, whereas the Langdale ones didn't. We just ate at the pub/hotel each night (Old Dungeon Ghyll & Wasdale head inn).
On sat we walked up past stickle tarn, angle tarn, sprinkling tarn then to sty head and then down into wasdale. On the sunday we reversed the route up to the shelter and then went over Esk Pike and Bow Fell and then down the band. There are obviously lots of other routes you could do in either direction - i thought the NT campsites/pods were quite good.
Hope this helps, Will
