Hi all,

Does anyone know the best way to purchase (pre paid before arrival in london) a travel card for two days in zone one?

Idealy needs to be pre paid, collection at kings cross ticket office would be best, is this possible at 20:30 in the evening?

Thanks

Not sure you can pick them up at a station though...

Can't you just use tap and go on your bank card?

Contactless payment cards work like Oysters now for adults so you don't need them anymore.

No, work is paying for it, and it's a short notice trip..

Register an account with tfl to tie the card in and you can run off a journey history statement. I use that for my work expenses.

I don't think you can do it with a travel card. They either need to be purchased online and posted or purchased on the day.
Cheapest way to travel in London is with tap and go on your bank card as you avoid the Oyster card deposit.

Zone 1 & 1-2 PAYG cap on Oyster or Contactless is £6.50.

Just get them to bung you £13 in expenses?

Think I've sussed it.. Single to my destination station in London for the first day, then a zone 1 travel card second day with a single out of Kings Cross back to Base.
