I'm after a decent tv with freeview and dvd player to finish of the kitchen I had to sell my kidneys for.

Have looked at a few online, anybody have a fav or recommend?

We bought a touchscreen eee pc & use tvcatchup.com instead, far more versatile than a telly, paid £300 from dabs

Ok, sounds like you want something flash, but very happy with the 19" Technika from Tesco we got for the bedroom, built in freeview and dvd player, great picture, sound is possibly a little tinny but I've been told most are because of the limitations on the size of the speakers on lcd tellys.

slight hi-jack, aikon how do you get on with the eee? Toying with getting one. Does it play all media ok without stalling, worried it might be a bit slow?

I've just bought two of THESE for the kids bedrooms. Impressed so far and only £100!

Pretty good nickjb, got windows 7 on it which is a big improvement, media is ok though it trips up with itunes home sharing so I dont use it for that any more. Got an iMac in the office that does a better job
