I'll start:
1. It's more interesting than TV
2. actually someone here
4. Its more interesting than trying to talk to the wife who is asleep after a hard day not at work!
3. I'm right and everyone else is wrong
5. The STW doctors & nurses thread
3. nobody can count
7. so many people they race to answer daft questions 🙂
7a. edit- and you can edit
8 no-one reads the thread just the title
The holier than thou brigade.
99. Enthusiasm, lots of (look, we're on 99 already!)
I aint editing the number again I hoped I was going to be at 4 as I tried to be 2 but three was too slow...
22. watching people trying to be the first to make the next post
i loved it since the day i joined. people come and go but the community grows.
its like the cheers bar
"where everybody knows your screen-name" doesn't really scan....
bar snacks would be good though
27. It enhances my self esteem
6 a&a
I love the geeks, they know things.
69. You can come along and help yourself to unlimited amounts of troll chow!
19. As a teacher I can come here on a snow day and feel the love!
3. Buy a Mac?
37. The Hive Mind knows everything, nothing too obscure to answer.
38. Sometimes the answers are even right 🙂
so I know what not to insert into myself.
Everyone here is anglo-saxon white and loves (bums) the armed forces.
200. making friends, meeting ladies, sharing experiences on and off the bike.
It's somewhere else to put pics of myself wearing next to nothing.
OH!! that's 200-204.
54. Pics of sharki in gold lame shorts (go on mate, show the all girls again)
No 4. + 1
Is this the right room for an arguement?
x. An answer to literally any question. Then an argument about the answer; then a complete tangent or thread-hijack; then counter-arguments; finally disolving into childish name-calling.
Compared with some, its quite a relaxed forum, with most members having a reasonable sense of humour (aye, even the English folk!)
It also isn't totally overmoderated like certain forums I could mention, such as Weight( USETHESEARCHFUNCTION!!!)Weenies, or over parochial, like the London chat room that is bikeradar.
In fact, if we could just get rid of the middle aged I.T. geeks, it'd be perfect 🙂
75 jedi getting his bike back. (and others)
-12. it taught me that a plane can't take off from a stationary treadmill
I can read meaningless drivel without getting bored of it. Ooops, was I supposed to prefix with a number... ?
43.
In fact, if we could just get rid of the middle aged I.T. geeks, it'd be perfect
But very quiet 🙂
i. See my name
V. The rare few who can take the pi$$ and have a joke on here
Buzz, on special request only and that'll mean the thong shot comes out too.....
Might save the pants and convert the boots to spd's just for the singltons ride....lol
I actually learned a few things here about MTB's no less.
It taught me how to grow as a human being......no wait, sorry. It taught me how to cure my brake squeal.
9. no one's had nine yet. I like 9. It's a great way to get girls.
Smee/Goan/whatever he is now and Tandemjeremy, all that will they won't they dancing around is very entertaining. 😉

101. The number of bikes that Ton has bought
Baiting people and making them think you take things seriously.
information that normally I wouldn't care about now I do - nosey?
102. Forum rides - slow, mechanical problems, unambitious and just bl00dy great 😀
Meeting people who go for rides in gale force winds and blizzards
If I ever need to know anything, the answer is invariably here.
Populated by a relaxed and generally nice set of people.
Via the Forum I have met a rode with loads of top people who I now count as friends (met one of my regular 2 weekly rides buddies through STW).
Ace place for advise on Routes, Conditions of routes and anything bike related. The depth of general knowledge on here is also amazing.
Also, it makes me laugh.
Convincing people that it was sunny in the Pentlands just so that you can go for a ride in gale force winds and blizzards. 😀
For showing me that money spent does not a beautiful bike make......
Convincing people that this bit'll be great in the snow as its normally up to your arse boggy. 😀
Bramble Whisky.
Interacting with a bunch of semi-like minded dudes and dudettes.
14. You can always find out what tyres you need to ride
17. It comes up with gems like the Picolax thread
pwned with Bombers [sadly missed]
94. The armchair socialists and sofa doormice
If you think that was a good ride you should have been out on the Bramble Whisky and Mocha ride. Skipping past the veggie soup flavoured hot blackcurrant.
The Jeremy Clarkson wannbes [good band name?]
57. It's actually not that scary/ anti-social. Some forums are v snobbish ("oh, you got that wrong, you prole"), but here you can ask a slightly dumb question and people will give a reasonably helpful answer
62. You can ask pretty much anything - bike things, tyre questions, Abi Titmuss, camper vans and so on and it's fair game.
34. There's a massive mix of people: not everyone lives in the peaks and goes riding 5 days a week.
95. There's actually women on the forum, which makes it a bit more interesting.
1. It can be frickin funny - see the Drs and Nurses thread from today. 🙂
A thread about celibacy that concludes with a speed dating forum ride (and maybe luurve)
cos it is all FUN FUN FUN.
and helps me relax.
It's a great laugh. You can wind people up on purpose and they just keep coming back for more.
Everyone is so helpful with my bimbo posts, both bike-related and non bike-related. I'm an STW Forum addict - can anyone help me 😳
74 (?). - I don't have to speak french here.
Because every time I meet someone off here they're good value and then we have to eat cake. Riding bikes can be involved, but that's optional.
Je peux pratiquer mon français et personne ne me dérange
That pic of Foxychick... 😉
Lefty baiting
Nichemonger baiting
The awesome power of the hivemind!
74a, I can break wind in the general direction of french speaking peoples.

Bah si TC, moi! Je suis spécialiste en la matière.
Ce forum est super, si jamais j'ai envie d'avoir un aperçu représentatif de la pensée intime du Britannique conservateur et réactionnaire il suffit de regarder ici.
The sense of humour.
And the collective knowledge/experience.
very few lolcats.
à deux balles. Où puis-je cacher à ces chiens anglais qui ont suivi de mes moindres mouvements. Je vais essayer bikeradar
