Meeting people who go for rides in gale force winds and blizzards
If I ever need to know anything, the answer is invariably here.
Populated by a relaxed and generally nice set of people.
Via the Forum I have met a rode with loads of top people who I now count as friends (met one of my regular 2 weekly rides buddies through STW).
Ace place for advise on Routes, Conditions of routes and anything bike related. The depth of general knowledge on here is also amazing.
Also, it makes me laugh.
Convincing people that it was sunny in the Pentlands just so that you can go for a ride in gale force winds and blizzards. 😀
For showing me that money spent does not a beautiful bike make......
Convincing people that this bit'll be great in the snow as its normally up to your arse boggy. 😀

57. It's actually not that scary/ anti-social. Some forums are v snobbish ("oh, you got that wrong, you prole"), but here you can ask a slightly dumb question and people will give a reasonably helpful answer
62. You can ask pretty much anything - bike things, tyre questions, Abi Titmuss, camper vans and so on and it's fair game.
34. There's a massive mix of people: not everyone lives in the peaks and goes riding 5 days a week.
95. There's actually women on the forum, which makes it a bit more interesting.
1. It can be frickin funny - see the Drs and Nurses thread from today. 🙂
A thread about celibacy that concludes with a speed dating forum ride (and maybe luurve)

It's a great laugh. You can wind people up on purpose and they just keep coming back for more.
Everyone is so helpful with my bimbo posts, both bike-related and non bike-related. I'm an STW Forum addict - can anyone help me 😳
74 (?). - I don't have to speak french here.
Because every time I meet someone off here they're good value and then we have to eat cake. Riding bikes can be involved, but that's optional.
Je peux pratiquer mon français et personne ne me dérange
