Well as I didn't manage to get out of my pit to do my own ride this morning tomorrow's commute is a duplicate of the one none of us were interested in this morning!

I've had a week off zwift so I'll break myself back in gently with a ZHR H&H rather than the TTT tonight I think?!

Anyone else up for the crit city race tomorrow at 5.45pm? A short 8 lapper on the Bell circuit. I've not raced it that way round for some reason, only done Dolphin circuit.

I'm in cat C, I think dangeourbrain is in cat B by the looks of it.

I'm tossing up between that and the bologna TT at 18.00, for the moment I'm in for both but no chance I'm finishing the one in time to do the other!

I'm up for the Crit City thing, I quite enjoy the shorter races.

Nice to see a full house for commute this morning folks. I think I'll stick with a repeat of Monday/Tuesday if there are no complaints is it fit nicely for me. So it may be 3 laps of fan flats Monday and volcano Tuesday for ever* with some random stuff thrown in later in the week.

Sunday hills is up for those interested.

Seems the update made road to the sky available for groups which is nice so, as we've not done t't alp yet it seemed a good idea. Should also leave us all time for sausages.

Nice short one after last week's long lumpy un.

I’ve paused my Sub because of the nice weather (sorry about that!), runs out on Monday so will try and make Sunday as a last ride. Did 2 hours on a ZZRC ride last night. Longest I’ve spent on a turbo. Longest I’ll EVER spend on a turbo based on that experience.

Ta for the invite.

Short one for you maybe! Will take me at least 90 mins! 🙂 I am good for that though.

Hoping to make it on Sunday, I'm doubtful it's going to be blue skies and dry outside anyway 😆

Thanks for arranging the commute this morning Brian, I needed it after a few lazy days, it got me back in the groove, ended up doing 3 laps.

Be in for Sunday, but I hate that Alp, I only do it to gain points towards the Tron bike 🙂

The word you're looking for is "ran", as in:

The nice weather ran out on Monday; the first day of summer.

I rode today and plan to join tomorrow Sunday Hills. Though for some reason today's not very long or hilly ride really took it out of us so it could be a slow climb for me unless I wake up feeling very much up for it 🙂

I've just signed up to the Sunday Hills ride at 8:28. Why is it 28 past, rather than half past?

Weeksy, your 10:30 invite was a bit too late for me. I wouldn't be very popular at home...

Too early and too hilly for me that one. I've set a ride for 10:30am in Yorkshire.

I think it’s 8:28 to avoid all the 8:30 crowds 👍

Aye that's pretty much it Forge.

The first two weeks (especially as we're a small group usually on a Sunday) we got mobbed at the start with lots of people setting off at half past so ended up as a racing start to get clear. Frankly no one [maybe just me] needs a couple of minutes at 600W+ at early o'clock on a Sunday, certainly not for a social ride. If nothing else near sprinting makes it hard for me to drink my coffee and difficult for DrP to hold his sausages.

1hr 22 is my best so far up the alpe (only time I have ridden up there properly) so would like to beat 1hr 15 I reckon.

I'm going to have to bail on the Alpe ride, need to play catch up with the kitchen build so need to start early and I can't kill myself up the Alpe or I'll be useless all day.

I'll be on for all commute club rides this week. Might do the Alpe one morning to make up for tomorrow's miss.

Be happy to give you a hand on a few turns but the full climb (or getting out of bed early enough) is a bit of an undertaking for a pre work effort

Thks for the invite @weeksy but had the Alpe in mind for tomorrow - was going to do the race in the avo, but will join @dangerourbrain meetup if he wouldn't mind sending me an invite? 8.28 is (very) aspirational for me but would be good to get it done early doors.

No worries fellas, due to only 4 riders taking it up, I've pulled the ride and will head outside instead for a bimble

Couple of PBS there. Enjoyed that even if it was an ITT.

And I’ve nearly finished that stupid Everest challenge.

Pleased with that. 68 mins so 14 mins of my pb (to be fair the only other time I have slumber the alpe!). Like you say an ITT really but having some others on the mountain helps the motivation!

Thks for invite dangeourbrain, enjoyed that - pbs left and right, wd all.
54.54 for me, happy to get under 55, should start more rides when I'm still asleep.

Tried to ride every turn hard to put me above my power target straight away, and then slowly hit it. Definitely a psychological help if nothing else.

Yeah was a good run out. Not a great route for a group ride but can't not do it as part of Sunday hills at some point and at least today is raining so easier to justify the horror

58:16. 2m 16s quicker than my last PB, but I had to work a lot harder, averaged 160bpm compared to 141bpm for the next fastest time. Seems quite a way out of comfort zone for just 9 watts!

I think I can knock a bit off that time if I’m feeling good which today I wasn’t.

Maybe it was because I was last to the top.
@dangeourbrain - really impressive time - you should be well chuffed.
