I think that was off the start line when you went without me!

About 7am works for me robbo, assuming I'm not having to be in the office 45min or so should be spot on. If I am I'll just have to bail at about 25 past so I can shower and get to the office.

If you've got a preference on route let me know but it's TT night tomorrow so something flat at an easy pace is probably wise.

I've popped one on for Friday oop North, I'll be broken after Thursday evening if I've pulled my weight so it will be a bit dawdling!

Got the invite cheers. Route looks good. I don’t want a massive effort as I have a 1hr 30min as workout schedules for Friday. See you in the morning.

I've accepted for Friday so will see you then. If you're dawdling then it will be fine, it will bring you down to my usual pace, my legs don't go too fast first thing haha!

If you do another one of those 7am jobs I’ll join in.

I went outside today, managed an un clip fail and fell in forest of stinging nettles

It's a long shot but I might be able to get 20-30 mins with you tomorrow dependent on what time I need to leave, if so I'll see you on the start line, no promises though so don't wait for me.

One of those memories that makes me smile is of a lass I used to work with coming in one morning walking like John Wayne. Turns out the night before she'd been out with a few friends as you do, needed a pee on the way home so pants down, dress up round her chest, squatted over a ditch to answer nature's call. Owing to a few sherberts and the mobility reducing effects of knickers wrapped round your ankles, Over balanced and in she went. Absolutely full of stinging nettles, stung all over every square inch from knee to navel.

Poor bairn.

Oh how we laughed.

I expect you in suit and tie, with your Brompton on the turbo.

Failing that stripes has become customary I believe (and saves me changing)

Ta for this morning folks,i do wonder how long it's going to take me to get back into the swing of normal alarms. It took 2 days to adjust to the extra hour in bed afforded by WFH, seems the opposite isn't true.

I think those who expressed interest have an invite for tomorrow morning, I'll sort some for next week over the weekend. Anyone else wants to join us shout up.

Cheers dangerourbrain and piemoster. I enjoyed that. A good pace for the morning - not too much but good to get the hear pumping. Just a shame as soon as I hit a hill I go backwards! 🙂

We kept together nicely on the climb out of the tube.

I'm with weeksy on this. You'll never get the 30min alpe badge* with an attitude like that.

Disclaimer: 30 minute alpe badge may not exist. If it does, be sure to reuse the 6'6" elm box it comes in.
Dangeourbrain(tm) will not be held liable for any injuries or damage resulting from attempts to collect the possibly fictional 30min alpe badge.

haha it is the 5% ramps that are worse actually. If you aren't paying attention for 1 second you lose the wheel and it is difficult to get back on without putting yourself in a hole.

What is the KOM up the alpe?

I looked it up.

Fastest guy is on 28 minutes and is the only person under 30 minutes (16mph average).

Next fastest is 32 minutes (14mph average) - and their are a few about this region so seems reasonable.

Not convinced by the fastest guy.

considering the best hopefully legal pro time up the actual Alp is 39m 22s i'm not considering anything under that as being actually legit on Zwift...

What did Rohan Dennis do the Zwift Alp in a couple of weeks ago ?

Dennis was 58:01 for the ride, but not sure on his Alp KOM time.

The fastest easily spottable name is Michal Kwiatkowski 35:17 in 76th place....

I'm a little sceptical about anything much quicker than that.

the KOM guy had an average of 501w and a HR of 115bpm average.... now THAT is impressive. LOL.

Can you flag your rides as wrong in zwift or is that bod stuck with a time they may want rid of because its nonsense (or they may want to keep because they're one of those people)

I know I've deleted a few from strava (before they're flagged) over the years where its gone bonkers for one reason or another or I've forgotten to turn off my track before getting in the car etc.

I may join you on Sunday if there is a group ride will depend on timings and how far your planning this week and see if it fits to what I had planned already 🙂

Tempted by achterbahn or Surrey Hills for my weekly dose of climbing having done neither yet. Probably an 8.30am start again as it worked well for me last week. Obviously though folk are free to do their own thing too so there may be another one going on too.

Oh and I've got to survive the TTT tonight, commute club tomorrow and likely a real world ride Saturday, so I might sack it off yet.

16:30 tomorrow. Richmond flat. Sprint every lap for fun. Regroup at 120w after laps and go again and again and again.

Regroup at 120? As opposed to last one which was regroup at 210 🙂

Thanks Steve for ‘returning to the cat-herding chair'

I should be there assuming hamstring twinge survives an outside ride later..

Ta for the invite. I've ticked to go but theoretically I'm still working until 5pm so will see how the day pans out.

Exactly 🙂

The power monsters need to remember that 200w for them may be recovery, but to keep everyone included we need to regroup at lower wattage 🙂

My same pace applies as always haha

I'll be up for it, if it's this...

Legs are still sore from running my first ever (and completely impromptu) half marathon on Tuesday...it was supposed to be a 'long, steady run' but I got carried away.
Going up & down stairs on Wed was tricky - not so bad today, but still sore 🙂

well there's not much in the way of takeup on it... only 8 other riders...

Thoughts on whether we scrap it or ride it ? I'm easy either way, i've got a ride planned on Sat morning, so not like i'll be missing out etc.
