Has anyone been up in Swaledale since it's been snowing? I'm hoping to go for a day out next week and just wondered what it's like. Also tyre choice suggestions would be good.

Just spoken to in-laws who live there and it has snowed some more should be pretty thick?!?!?

Merry Christmas all

Just spotted this thread:

Here's what Swaledale is like today 28th Dec

There is quite a lot of snow about, difting to 1-2feet deep in places. Yesterday we had a bit of a thaw then it froze overnight so there is ice about. The tracks themselves are very difficult to ride, bloody hardwork to impossible in places. We had folks in the cafe today who have been out and struggled, essentially didn't go too far.

Tyres for snow - Bontrager Mud-X running low pressures is working well for us.

Be careful out there y'all

Stu
