Bent and killed my XT rear Derailleur today. If I buy an XTR is it a straight swap or will I require new shift levers too? The XTR seem good value at the moment and i need to replace so why not if possible...

if you dont mind not using a few of the extreme gear combinations I would suggest a Saint. I switched my xtr mech for one and they are awesome. The spring is so strong that i get zero chain slap and shifting is spot on.

Wow, just read customer reviews on Chain reaction, looks like a great bit ofbkit.. Did you change the shifter or keep your original?
