Sport cat 19+
Masters 30-39
Always usually race masters as age wise I'm in that bracket.
I always thought when you reached 30 you had to go into masters?
Is that the case or can you race in sport cat at any age.
Looking back through race times etc masters seems to be the quicker guys?
Is there a upper age limit for Sport.
Can anyone shed any light?

They chop and change it frankly, but generally you can race sport/expert/elite at any age. Check the entry form of your specific series.

They need to get rid of masters as there's too much crossover now with other categories, there's no physical degradation in ones performance at age 30.

BC did get quite militant at handing out masters licences to anyone over 30 for a while, but there's plenty of masters in sport at the moment, so yes, you can choose, but if you're buying a licence I'd check with BC, or you'll likely get a masters one.
