Can't see one started yet, so here we go!
Friday night post working week decompression ride. Quick spin round the local after dark. Turning pedals and emptying heads. Damp under the wheels but dry and mild in the air. Good times.
Peak spring time here.
Set off with a headache and a sinking feeling and had a fairly mundane ride. Hot climbs and frustrating descents. First good track was ok, second got held up by ebikes, third was a newly reopened very fast flow track and had to stop to replug my rear tyre. Fourth was just a case of heading back to the car really.
Morning was rescued by the nearest bike shop having a dropper cartridge for son's bike in stock as well as an insert for me.
......
My mate bailed last minute for yesterday's ride (His norm, unfortunately). So solo spin around my local. New pb on the full red route, so I'm happy, at least!
Drizzly rain for the last few miles, so I didn't cover as many as planned, but still had a good time.
Only 1 photo this week, I was too busy puffing my way round to stop!
No time for a full day in the late Autumn Yat. But sneaked in a few early hours on the local Ross trails that were running really well. Few sniper routes and slippy chutes but way better than expected after a lot of rain this week. My mate Simon has ticked off a few more new trails as well.
Plenty of leaves left on the trees as well. Beautiful day. Finished with a beer. All good 🙂
Went to check out a trail that's been out of action since Storm Arwen. Heard a rumour it was back in action so it would have been rude not to go ride it.
So good we did a couple of laps of it combined into the middle of an XC ride.
35km/750meters.
Just a local ride to the pub for a hot chocolate and cake with my 7 year old son then a little blast through the woods on the way home.
My buddy wasn’t free, but this was the only day forecasted not to be miserably wet and grey. So I took myself back to Tollymore for the day. Incredibly slippy. But stunningly beautiful.

Classic Hope/ Ladybower figure of 8 - Beast, Lockerbrook, Hagg etc
Pint in Hope then did the broken road and Mam Nick with the XC racer who wanted to do some more miles
And another pint and pasty in Hope
15 miles and 9 miles
Had my mates trail dog with us for the first part of the ride
Finish our little excursion just as the golden hour was approaching. Wished I had a proper camera

Where's that desperateBicycle? Not a bit of SD i recognise
Reeksy1 had a training to be a coach session so I went for some off piste stuff and found a much better ending to one of the jankiest tracks we have.
Weather tried to rain all morning but didn't quite manage.
Had a ride round Risca yesterday morning, been once before 2.5 years ago when bone dry and ought it was a bit meh. Much better in the wet and it was a beaut of a day.
Managed to get out for a solo sunrise ride this morning. 18 miles over the North Downs. Absolutely beautiful start to the day.
Out at 8 this morning determined to get a decent ride in before the rain arrived. Road loop out from Hebden to Oakworth, Cowling Trawden and home by Widdop. Been home for almost two hours and it's still dry! Discovered a lovely stretch of road I've not been on before - oakworth to cowling , it's like a mini Mortimer road.
10.15 am pie stop at Trawden community shop, bloody brilliant bonus!
Local 20 miler on the ebike today. Beginning to embrace the mud, invisible wet rocks and sniper roots. Plenty of sideways action and chucking to myself
Up round some woods in North Yorkshire this morning.
I've not been out on the bike all week - which is a long time for me - so itching to get out.
Slippy on the sniper roots and some muddy bits, but overall not too bad conditions and a good laugh.
Found a van selling pies on my way back home
Decent
A wet Dalbeattie today but really surprised at how well the Terreno Dry tyres worked I was sure I would be looking for something with more grip after the ride
The slab is very exposed after the storm clear ups
Seems to be a fair bit of pie consumption going on in this thread!
Couple of hours round the local this morning. managed to catch some glimpses of autumnal sunshine but trails getting a bit slippy in places, especially with a covering of wet leaves over the mud. Sometimes i question my choice of habitually leaving a low profile summer hardpack tyre on the back of my bike all year round...
I see the pie and raise you sticky chocolate orange cake.
Very nice if you happen to be at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Not a very photogenic day on the trails. Damp, grey and the first MTB ride I've had in about four months. Good to get out with my younger son and grab the last of the decent daylight for an hour or so. I think he managed some GoPro footage at some point and he's now taken over the Pink 456 from big brother who has gone all roadie...
Day and night enduro at fort william. 3 stages during the day, same 3 again at night. I can now see why most folk where on an ebeer.
The aftermath, winter is coming (©️ game of thrones)
Just back from 4 days riding with Enduro Malaga. Great guides, great trails, great food, great weather and a new love for uplifting with ebikes 😎. Can't wait to go back for some more sunshine.
