Just got a new easton ec90 stem from Merlin for the road bike. whilst examining it this morning (unfitted, only got it yesterday)there is a small 'gouge' taken out of the carbon where the steerer goes. Looks superficial and perhaps something from the mould...Shall i bother to send it back for a replacement?

Send it back. Why should you pay full price for defective goods?

Surely nothing from Merlin is 'full price' ๐Ÿ™‚

I'd send it back.
