[Closed] Would anyone want part ownership of a 27.2 dropper post, hilo perhaps?

I'm off to the Alps 30 June to 4 July and fancy using one but not too bothered about one fitted all the time. Perhaps 3 or 4 likeminded riders would be interested in sharing the purchase and taking on their dates?
Or would that be very very complicated?

Just buy one and sell it when you're done. Except you won't, because you'll probably want to keep it.

that's an option I'd not thought about....
how to complicate a simple solution.... ๐Ÿ™„

Bearing in mind the reliability issues that surround the current crop of dropper posts then i'd say it's definately not a good idea to be sharing the purchase, especially with people you don't know. You'd also need people to have the same diameter of seat tube as you and settle on a non remote version due to different cable length requirements for a remote version.
Edit: just read the topic title again so ignore the seat tube size comment, it's been a long day ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Getting your own length of outer and inner is hardly insurmountable, but the other drawbacks are valid points.

well, the post title says I propose a 27.7, and the hilo seems to be supplied without a remote.
getting the impression this is a non-starter now though.
