A shameless plug for any Surrey road riders who fancy something short and unpleasent; The Kingston Wheelers Hill Climb on 1st October on the slopes of Leith Hill.

http://www.kingstonwheelers.co.uk/news/2011/09/john-bornhoft-memorial-hill-climb/

If you'd like to ride you do have to be a member of an RTTC affiliated club. Entry forms can be found here;

http://cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/AboutCTT/OrganiserInfo/FormsGuidanceNotes/tabid/172/Default.aspx

The event gets a good field and has a fun atmosphere with the slightly raucous "cow bell corner" lending a bit of encouragment to those racing so even if your not a racer but off road in the are come and have a look.

Quick bump - too late to enter but if you're on Leith Hill on saturday from 11.00 feel free to come and watch roadies suffer racing up a hill.

Is that why there were so many Kingston Wheelers out around the Holmbury and Leith area on Sunday?

No that was just some (about half ish) of that Sunday's club runs, three of us took rides on various routes down to Peaslake. It was very busy down that way club runs, sportives and a lot of mtb's as well, was a lovely day.
