Hi,
Running Sram Rival 1 on my CX bike with 11-42 XD and want to try a Shimano freehub and XT 11spd cassette.
Will it work ok?
I'm going to try a new rear wheel Shimano freehub, XT 11spd 11-42 cassette, long cage. Rival 1 rear mech and shifter and a X-Sync 42 chainring with a Sram 1170 chain.

Yes, will work fine.
Some CX/Gravel bikes come with this setup from the factory.
