Despite clutch and thick/thin, I still drop the chain every now and then..I suppose a hard tail is at risk of that...

Looking at chain keeper things..most are about £25, Paul's is £50.
IF is significantly better, well made, as worth it, I'll get that..

Views please!!

its not significantly better in the sense it keeps your chain on - even the superstar one i had did this- its just significantly nicer looking than that and I got it second hand for abut £20. Is it worth the extra because it's a Pauls - might be on a Dr salary 😉 - but it is well made but they all are. Not sure of weight either as the plastic superstar might actually be lighter - and i never dropped the chain on that

It certainly works well and I have not dropped my chain using it but the price is the Paul thing rather than a never drop the chain thing IME

Specialized one for £25 works fine.

Superstar one is fine. Not pretty, but fine.

If you're going to lose your chain with a clutch on, chances are you'll lose it off the top of the ring. Never quite understood the point of those under the swingarm ones. Add friction, don't work so well.

I like the 77 designs one, if you've a BSA bottom bracket you can couple it with a bash guard as well which looks a neat solution.

Depends on your mounting options, but the One Up is pretty good.

but the One Up is pretty good.

I had the light weight One Up one, it had a bit of flex in it, and it kept getting clogged with mud and sticking. After a month it just snapped in 2 in a field.

Just fitted the Rideworks one, feels like a quality product and it doesn't flex. I'll be testing it tomorrow.

in that case it is definitely very pretty and aesthetically enjoyable.
