I was looking to build up some new wheels for my Orange 5 26". I was looking to go tubeless and wider at the same time and running something like Maxxis Ardent 2.4 tyres. I was considering various rims and wondered if there was any advantage in going wider than say the Superstar DS25 rims at 30mm with a 25mm ID?
The cost of rims seems to go up exponentially for anything wider and wondered if the benefits of an even wider rim were worth the extra cost?
